Welcome parents, students and staff to a wonderful and exciting school year. My name is Tracey Valree and I will proudly serve as your principal for the 2016-2017 school year at Metzger Middle School. I have 11 years in education, 7 of which I served as Assistant Principal then Principal at James Masters Elementary. I am excited to now watch our student grow into middle school young adults as they prepare for high school.

My vision and mission for our students, staff and parents for this year are:

1. To ensure that all students have a safe place to come and learn.

2. To encourage and support teachers as they continue to develop as life-long learners.

3. Foster positive relationships with parents and community members by attending and participating in school events and being a visible and a hands-on contributor to our campus initiatives.

4. Contribute to the growth and accomplishments of all campus stakeholders (teachers, instructional paraprofessionals, child nutrition staff, custodial staff, office staff, etc.).

I look forward to a successful school year and just remember that I have an open-door policy so please stop by and introduce yourself to me when you get a chance.

I look forward to working closely with you and your students.

Warmest Regards,

Tracey Valrée

It is with great excitement that I join the sensational staff here at Metzger Middle School!  I am a proud product of Judson ISD, graduating from Judson HS in 1997.  I received my Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX in 2001 (Gig 'em Aggies!), and my M.Ed. in Educational Administration in December of 2009 from Lamar University.  This is my 13th year in the district and my 16th year in education overall.  This is going to be an amazing year of learning because we are focused on high student achievement!  We are moving forward together: one vision, one voice!  Go MUSTANGS!
