The University of San Antonio is having their “UTSA Day” on Saturday, April 1,2017. All JISD students and their families are invited to attend. This is a perfect opportunity for our students to come out and see what UTSA has to offer for post-secondary education.
JSTEM Robotics achieved phenomenal success at the recent First Lego League East Division Regional competition. Team Animal Crackers received the Robot Performance award and the 1st place Champion’s award. Team Animal Crackers now has the opportunity to compete at the First Lego League World Festival in Houston along with teams from all over the United States and the world.

Two JSTEM Academy 6th grade students achieved high honors in NASA’s Future Engineers Mars Medical contest. Mary Hooper and Sariya Mathis were the two that responded to Mr. Ohman, their SmartLab teacher, when he presented the opportunity to all his students.
