Mighty Mavericks in Action
Our Mighty Mavericks in Kindergarten through 2nd grade have had a busy start to the school year. They participated and completed several activities. Our students worked on their Loco-motor skills like gallop, hop, skip, jump, shuffle, and running. They used these movements in many different games. Also they participated in Stations and completed their Scooter Unit. Currently our Kinder through second grade students are participating in a games unit and playing games like Bocce Ball, Last Pin Standing, and Bumble Bee/Cheeto Tag.
Our Mighty Maverick students in 3rd through 5th grade also have been very active. We have completed two Units and a Stations Week. Our students completed their Volleyball and Soccer Units earlier this year working on skills and finishing with game play. Currently ours students are learning and practicing Football Skills. The skills we are working on are Punting, Kicking, and Passing/Catching. Our football unit will conclude with a Punt, Pass, and Kick tournament.
In addition we welcome two coaches who are new to our Masters Family. Please help me welcome Coach Simmons and Coach Gutierrez who will be working with all the students at Masters.
As a reminder on Physical Education/PE days please have students wear shoes/sneakers that have a flat rubber sole with a closed toe. Students in shoes that have a heel, non-rubber bottom shoe, or sandal will not be able to participate in class that day. Thanks for your assistance in this matter.
