Masters Mavericks Staying Fit: Students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade are participating in a basketball unit. Students are currently working on skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting. Our 3rd through 5th graders are also participating in their basketball unit. Students are working on the skills of dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense which will be applied in games at the end of our unit. REMINDER: For safety, students should wear sneakers or some sort of flat rubber soled shoe on PE days. Our Volleyball Champs are Mrs. Neill's 4th grade class and Mrs. Hicks 5th grade class. Other Activities: More to be announced Past Activities ING Kids Rock Marathon and Marathon Workout: On the week of September 10, 2012 students will be coming home with a flier from the San Antonio Sports Foundation. The flier contains an 8 week running/walking program in which students can work towards completing a marathon outside of school. When a student completes the program they can return the flier back to Coach Ryan and I will submit it to San Antonio Sports Foundation for a prize. There is also information about a Kids Fun Run, an event for kids that is tied to the Rock and Roll Marathon. He will be talking to the students about Animal Safety.
