It's about books. It's about children. It's about fun! It's our Scholastic Book Fair, and we hope you will be able to attend on Monday, December 10th - Tuesday, December 18th.  Our hours are from 7:05 a.m. - 3 p.m.   Our Family Night will be Thursday, December 13th from 3:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.   On Tuesday, December 18th our book fair will close at 11:30 a.m.   It's a special time for our entire school community, and it's being held at the Mary Lou Hartman Elementary Library.

How the Book Fair Works

A few weeks before the Book Fair, children will take home flyers highlighting some of the items that will be available. After the Book Fair begins, the children will visit the library with their class to preview and purchase books. During these visits the children may complete "Wish Lists" that they take home and go over with their parents. If the decision is made to purchase some of the items on the Wish List, parents may send money for those items with the children, or they may come to the Book Fair and purchase the items in person. Family and friends are invited to attend, too - any time we're open. We will have books for all ages, including adults!

Help Classroom Libraries

The Classroom Wish List program works with teachers to add appropriate books to classroom libraries. You may donate teacher-selected books to your child's classroom in your child's name (a bookplate is provided). Your thoughtfulness leaves an ongoing legacy of learning and is a great way to say "Thank You" for being my child's teacher this year.

Parent involvement enriches the lives of children, the teachers, and the community. Please drop by our Scholastic Book Fair - your presence does make a difference. Plus, you'll have a great time!
